Thanks to all who came along to our first seaside camp in 2018! We hope to run it again this year...

Seaside Circus Skills Training Camp
Oh yes! We fancied a little bit more
circus camping this year...
Imagine... 3 full days of intensely dedicated circus skills practice, in a lovely field, by the beach in Norfolk, with ample campsite facilities and room for everyone. This camp is open to all ages, and is aimed at (but not limited to) home educating families. The dedicated skills tuition is aimed at age 9 years and above, including adults. However there will also be a basic circus skills area for under 9's, plus a very basic crafts area.
Plus you can hang out on the beach, play on the two play areas, have a go at crazy golf, play a group game of footie, sit round the evening campfire or go for lovely long walks. Bring your dog/s too!
Where is Seaside Circus Camp?
It will be at Waxham Sands Holiday Park, Horsey, Norfolk. Right next to a beautiful Norfolk sandy beach!! Facilities include: around 20 showers, 60 toilets, electric hook-ups, washing up facilities with hot water, recycling areas, chemical loo emptying facilities, laundry, on-site shop selling basic food/drinks, pocket money toys, beach toys/equipment and camping equipment. There is also a food stall selling fish n chips, burgers etc… in the evenings, plus veggie options.
Plus crazy golf, 2 play areas and the sand dunes and beach. Fab!
Friday September 14th through to Sunday September 16th 2018. (However, if you book a pitch on the main campsite you can arrive whenever you like and leave whenever you like as it is a fully functioning caravan/campsite.) You can come for one day, two days or all three, however the costs remain the same.
Anyone can come, whether you are home-ed or not,
Oh, and it is dog friendly too, so your pooches can have a lovely holiday
by the sea as well 😊.
Please note, this is a family camp, not a party or festival type event.
There will be a maximum of 60 workshop places available on a first come/pay first served basis. However, there are unlimited spaces for everyone else, so even if you don’t have anyone booked into the main workshops you are still welcome to come and chill with us.
Workshops will start at 10am each day and run through til 4/5pm depending on how hard you wish to train!
Skills on Offer:
Skills on offer include: aerial (trapeze, aerial hoop and silks), low tightrope, unicycle, stilts, hula hoops, poipoi, diablo, juggling balls, hats and clubs, tumbling and acro, clowning, devil sticks and more. Also tuition on performing circus skills to an audience to those who are interested in that side of things.
£50 per workshop participant (for all the workshops for the 3 days) aged 9 upwards, including adults. Anyone else aged 2 upwards is just £10 for the 3 days. Under 2s are free. Circus workshop fees and attendance fees are payable in advance to the Foolhardies, via our online booking form below.
Camping costs are £14 per pitch per night, or £16 with electric hook-up. If you don’t wish to camp it is only £2 to park your car per day. You can choose to camp in the main field with the Circus (no electric hook ups) or you can book a pitch on the main holiday park, which is only a 1-minute walk away. You need to book your pitch in advance with the site directly - stating where you wish to pitch - and pay upon arrival.
We won’t be putting on anything amazing like at our May Circus Camp as this one is a ‘chill out-end of summer-practice and improve your circus skills’ camp aimed at those who wish to boost their skills with a three-day intensive. The rest of us can have a go at the free-play skills area, play on the play areas or crazy golf, visit the beach or join in with some basic, informal, beach inspired arts and crafts, or just sit and chat ;-)
We will put on one evening of fab circus entertainment on the Saturday, in the big top. On other evenings let’s sit and chat around the campfire, play a game or two of footie, go for evening walks along the beach or just snuggle up and read a book.
There will be a simple catering wagon on the field serving basic burgers, fish n chips and some vegetarian options. We recommend you self cater for breakfast and lunchtimes, then the van will be open teatimes and evenings. There is a shop on site selling supplies incl milk (no fresh food though), but there are villages nearby with mini supermarkets.
BOOKINGS ARE NOW OPEN! (from 20th July) So please contact us NOW using the form below to book your tickets.
Once we receive your booking form we will respond within 24 hours with payment details. You then have 24 hours to make your payment otherwise your tickets will not be held. Sorry but we are unable to take staged payments or late payments for this event - there are only 60 workshop places plus we are simplifying the process so it is less work for us to do, hopefully ;-) Tickets are non-refundable.
Camping needs to be booked separately, directly with the campsite, so once you have received confirmation from us that we have your payment you can contact them and book your pitch - either in the field with the circus (no electric hookups there) or you can go on the main site, which has plenty of hookups and is only a 1 minute walk away.
Much love, Sarah, Vicki, Cosmo & Lucas xxx
