Black Barby Music Festival
GETTING INVOLVED AT CIRCUS CAMP
There are many ways to get involved, and we encourage everyone to join in and help make our camp a vibrant, inclusive experience.
Volunteering: we often have lots of little jobs that need doing, so simply pop along to the info tent when you arrive and let us know you are happy to help.
Some roles, such as craft barn helper, require a firm time commitment so we will happily give you free camping and free adult entry in exchange for your efforts. If you are interested in this, please enquire asap as we generally fill these roles quite quickly.
Music: are you a musician? We like to put on a little acoustic music in the courtyard at lunchtimes and teatimes – and usually have spare slots, so if you’d like to entertain us with your musical skills for half an hour or so, please do get in touch!
Pop-up Workshops: You can also get involved by running a random pop up workshop of your own at a time to suit you, either for the children or for the adults. More details here. Once again get in touch beforehand if you wish to discuss this, or else come to the info tent on arrival and we’ll sort you out a time slot.
Discussion groups: We would love to have some home-ed discussion groups as we have done in previous years. If you would like to coordinate and oversee a discussion group on any home-ed related topic, please get in touch! We are very happy to provide a space and promote it around the camp.
Info Stalls: You are very welcome to have a stall if you have information that would be useful to home educators. Maybe you are part of a home-ed network that you wish to promote? Maybe you create and sell or give away home-ed resources that would be useful to know about? There is no fee for this opportunity.
Sell your unwanted bits and bobs in our Thursday Flea Market: you don’t need to pre-book for this, and there is no fee. More info here.
If you have other ideas to contribute, please do contact us!
