CAMPING AT CIRCUS CAMP
Camping & Facilities
You can choose to come and camp for the full 6 days or just come along
daily - it's up to you! The camping fee is per family, no matter how many tents/vehicles/cars you bring.
The camping facilities are basic, but do include lots of loos, a hot shower, bins and washing up areas. Cars are parked on the same field so you can set up your pitch then go and park nearby. There are no electricity hook ups for camping – do bring solar panels if you have them. We can, however, charge up mobile phones in the info tent, just come and ask. Your phone remains your responsibility even when charging.
We’d love the site to be beautiful and inspiring for all – so bring flags, bunting and anything else you may wish to add. Also, we all need to watch out for each other, and each others’ children – we will be one big family for the duration of camp!
Please note, the location is a farm with animals nearby, so we are sorry but we cannot allow dogs unless they are guide dogs.
Once again, we’ve got the lovely courtyard area behind the art barn and that’s where you’ll be able to find hot food for sale, and a sheltered, partially covered area for picnics.
Café: The cafe will be in the courtyard main barn all day, every day, serving all sorts of yummy offerings for meat-eaters and vegetarians. All at very reasonable family friendly prices, plus they are offering small children's portion options.
Vegan Catering: A range of yummy every day vegan food suitable for plainer palettes and little tummies too.
More news about the caterers later!
Sunday Breakfast: We’re hoping that you’ll all join us in the courtyard on Sunday morning - to have breakfast with us before the final show. Bring a picnic breakfast or get something yummy to eat from The Courtyard Cafes. We will be drawing the annual raffle tickets straight after breakfast in the courtyard, so, assuming you buy some tickets from the info tent during the week, be sure to hang around to see if you are the lucky winners of a free family ticket to Circus Camp 2020!
Self Catering: If you don't wish to buy from the onsite catering then you’ll need to bring your own food and cooking equipment, but we provide water, washing-up facilities and free tea and coffee all week.
Do bring biscuits, teabags etc. to contribute please – thank you so much for those that did last year! Don’t worry, we will monitor the kids’ biscuit intake again this year, to ensure none of the cheeky monsters eat more than their fair share and spoil their appetites!
We can point you in the direction of the nearest shops if you need supplies. We encourage car sharing, so please leave a note on the Info Tent noticeboard if you need or can offer a lift to the shop.
Info Tent and Circus Shop:
Vicki and Sarah will be around in the info tent. We’ll be here to help, chat and answer your questions, and most importantly keep the urn topped up for your free tea and coffee!
Lost property is located here too, so do please bring found things in so that we can reunite them with their owners.
The info tent is also home to the circus shop, selling basic circus equipment. The items we sell at camp will be beginners/intermediate quality items, but if there’s something specific you’re after please let us know in advance. We may be able to buy in specialist circus equipment, such as Poweriser stilts and fire skills equipment, at a discounted rate if requested in advance.
And since they were so popular last year, we will once again be selling a variety of lollies and ice-creams from our freezer!
The Circle Meeting Space:
This meeting space in the centre of the camping field is a place for you all to meet up and picnic, or for the children to arrange to meet and hang out, or for adults to sit and chat with other adults whilst the children are at the workshops. We will also use this space for our Thursday Flea Market.
